Getting ready for the workshop!

To complete this workshop you will need paper and a pen or pencil.

Plus if you wish to create a colourful artwork, use some colouring pens or pencils to create a realistic solar system.

There will be an optional worksheet that you can download but if you don’t have access to a printer you can also create your own by copying the picture onto paper and creating your own unique solar system poster.

Our Solar System

Discover our neighbouring planets in the solar system. You will find out about the different planets, their unique features and the different types of objects orbiting the Sun.

By the end of todays workshop you will be able to;

1.    Recall the names and order of the planets in the Solar System.

2.   Explain other objects that can be found in the Solar System including asteroids and meteors.
