Is the Geobus an actual bus that you can board?
No, I'm afraid not. We now run all our school workshops virtually.
Are the workshops really free?
Yes! Our costs are covered by our fantastic sponsors which means we can be completely inclusive.
As we are a free resource, we focus mainly on visiting state schools. Independent schools are welcome to book a visit but we usually ask for a donation to do so.
What regions do you cover?
We now run all our workshops virtually and so are available anywhere in the UK!
It can all be done online! Firstly, decide which workshop you would like from our workshops page, then send us an email at geobus@ucl.ac.uk and we can get it all booked in.
How do i make a booking?
At present, yes, you can cancel your GeoBus booking without any penalty. In the future though, as bookings increase and spaces become limited, we may have to implement a minimum notice period for cancellations.
Can I cancel my booking?
For health and safety, a member of school staff must be present at all times during the workshops.
Do school staff have to be present during the workshops?
As GeoBus UCL is still relatively new we have a much smaller team than that at GeoBus St Andrews. This means we are a bit more limited in what we can offer schools at present. We are always developing new resources and as soon as we can secure more funding our team should hopefully expand as well as the range of workshops on offer.
